I’ve got to attend a funeral for an old friend today and rather post up some maudlin goth stuff, I’m going happy and throwaway. Music has the power to effect mood and I want it light today.
So this staple of every wedding I’ve ever been to was released in 1983 by American Buster Poindexter and his considerably talented Blues band. I had no idea! I had no idea there were mixes of it, by John Morales and Sergio Munzibai, (M & M Productions) and I had no idea the singer was white!!! Too busy shaking a tail feather I guess! The mixes are excellent, Latin percussion and a bass to die for and the dub….well!…..and no it isn’t a cremation!
