The Other Two – Innocence / Tasty Fish (US 12″)

The Other Two being Stephen Morris and Gillian Gilbert (drummer and keyboardist from New Order) Peter Hook was in Revenge at the time, Bernard Sumner in Electronic so why not the remaining band members have a side project.

Employing some local remixers to give it a bit of dancefloor sheen (Love To Infinity and K-Klass.) Love to Infinity add piano riff and bouncy bass. K-Klass go all Space Disco on previous single, “Tasty Fish” (love the squiggly bass line) It has the same New Order dramatic chord builders.

A genuine B-side in “Satisfied” reveals Gilbert’s half decent voice and a bit of a nod to Pet Shop Boys in terms of synth pop stylistics.
