China Crisis – Every Day The Same (12″)

A comeback release for the duo to promote the album “Warped By Success” on their own label, Stardumb Records after being dropped by Virgin. Sounding still locked in the 80’s with some cool, white soul vibes and saxophone,it sounds like later Tears For Fears.

The mixes try to bring it to the dancefloor. The “Club Mix” builds quite well and is a lot quicker, it works well with Eddie Lundon’s distinct vocals, not destroying but extending the original. The “Drum-A-Pella” is pumping, 4 to the floor house. Vocals are put more into the background. Both mixes are by Riff and Hum (Hamish Hutchison & Terry Adams)
