An example of a record label milking a band for everything they’ve got remixing and releasing “History Revisited”. The band promptly disowned the remixes and to some extent they were justified. (I do have them all if you would like them reposting)This is one of the better remix packages. The mysterious 4 To The Floor’s “Curious” mix gives it a World Music vibe, then meanders off in a dub style with a contemporary beat. Julian Mendelsohn offers a long dreamy mix, faithful to the original but a shame about the continual heavy percussion. Gary Miller’s remix of their debut hit “Talk Talk” is piano led with plenty of unnecessary overdubs and a sampled bass, not for these ears I’m afraid!
For the purists there is the less messed around, edited 7″ version and a live version (again edited) of this , of one of their best tracks.
