Seems I’m temporarily stuck in the quite modern and shiny 21st Century. So a debut for this blog, a bootleg. To me bootlegs were those tapes of gigs you used to pick up at Student Union markets, always a let down and mostly badly recorded by some bloke at the gig with a Sony Walkman. Now bootlegs are an entirely different beasts with high production quality and are much sort after, especially vinyls
Taking an album track from “Zenyatta Mondatta” and giving it a house re-work Gino Scaletti & Quinn Whalley do all the correct things dragging a track from 1980 into 2000. They keep Andy Summers spacey guitar chords.
The Dub version is more of your 4 to the floor banger, using snippets of Sting’s vocals and a tad repetitive.
