Sting – We’ll Be Together (US 12″)

From 1987 and off Sting’s third album “…Nothing Like The Sun” this see’s Sting getting very funky. Produced and mixed by Ex- R and B artist, Bryan Loren Hudson. (alongside Sting and engineer Paul McKenna, of course) If you bottle up the sound of mid-80’s funk it would sound like this. It has the bouncing synth bass accompanying a funky slap bass. The “Extended Version” has some interesting sounds and is my preferred cut, love the electronic percussion and that big bass and the late Vesta Williams on diva-fueled backing vocals. The Β B-side is interesting in a funky, Level 42 kind-of-way, “Conversation With a Dog” (even with the dog impressions!)

Can anyone repost this? I’ve been looking for it for a very long time and apparently came along this post a little too late! 😦
