Modern English ‎– Life’s Rich Tapestry (12″)

Most people will know Modern Romance from their classic “I Melt For You.” They were on 4AD records and I got into them from the album “Ricochet Days,”Vocalist,Robbie Grey reformed Modern English in 1989 with Mick Conroy and Aaron Davidson to a record new album, Pillow Lips  This was from 1990 and the comeback single from said album. John “Tokes” Potoker remixes the B-side given a bit of an indie dance vibe. While Graham Dove goes for a Balearic, blissed out electronica vibe.

  1. is that a Freudian typo? calling Modern English of 1990 for Modern Romance?… the latter gang was just a wee bit different from the early 80’s Modern English… but maybe there was where Robbie ended up in the 90’s? 😀

  2. Love it ! Too much Ay Ay Ay Ay Moosey for a Friday Night! I’m leaving the typo in! 🙂

  3. Not enough hair product to be Modern Romance…

  4. I know this song, but I actually remember it most from “Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitters Dead”.

  5. Dang missed my window again. Any chance for a re-up?

    1. Sorted and ready for ya! 🙂
