Boy George – The Crying Game (12″)

Seems I’m going to hang around the late 80’s early 90’s thanks to Mike B’s kind shares.

Off the soundtrack of the British Gangster film, “The Crying Game” (thanks Joseph) this was a cover of a track by Dave Berry from 1964, originally written by Geoff Stephens. This was produced by The Pet Shop Boys with heaps of atmospheric strings and that Shadows like guitar sound. It was not very successfully remixed by Hans Olav Grøttheim, their seems to be 2 songs going on that don’t quite gel together, very Deep House! The B-side is very Craig David sounding, smooth Written by long term writing partner, John Themis. This previously resurfaced on George’s project , Jesus Loves You, from the album “Martyr Mantra’s”

  1. Love the Boy. This tracks from the soundtrack to film The Crying Game … not Mona Lisa. Both great movies and this is a great track.
