Frazier Chorus – Nothing (Chad Jackson Remixes) (12″)

From 1990 and a debut on this blog from Frazier Chorus. They were made up of Martin Freeman’s (The Hobbit) brother, Tim, Kate Holmes (wife of Alan McGee the Creation Records founder and member of Client) as well as Michelle Allardyce (cousin of Big Sam – I made that up!) and Chris Taplin. Synth pop around the same style as The Beloved and sounding spookily like The Beloved’s “The Sun’s Rising”, this was remixed by scratchmeister,  Chad Jackson of “Hear the Drummer Get Wicked” fame, using the drum loops. It is very Ibiza , Summer Of Love with the instrumental taking out the vocals (how weird) and the “Beats Mix” again just another instrumental with a dubbier mix. So even back then fey, synthpop was popular…..mmmm isn’t the new Hurts album out soon?
