World Party – Ship Of Fools (12″)

wallingerey I worry about War and impending doom and gloom, must be my age. So I bring you the excellent anti-war song from World Party, “Ship Of Fools” from 1987. Karl Wallinger (Ex Waterboys) did all of this on his own some and it was his debut release. Hook laden with a slight INXS vocal delivery this is the full version. Another Ex Waterboy, Anthony Thistlewaite, provides saxophone. The B-side is a Blues flavoured jam that Beck would be proud off and an exclusive track, a semi-acoustic cover of The Beatles “Nowhere Man”, wonderful!

  2. Hi there,

Just wondering if you could upload this again as the link no longer works.

  3. What a treat! The pessimistic nihilist in me really gets off on how this tale of doom and gloom is presented with such gusto and glee.
