Still from 1987 and from the ashes of cult Indie guitar band , The Loft, came The Weather Prophets and their frontman Peter Astor. Initially signed to Creation Records they later were on WEA subsidiary , Elevation records. This 4 tracker contains a nice mix of styles, the title track being produced by Lenny Kaye (Patti Smith group) and jangles along nicely, stepping into mild psychedelia. “Wide Open arms” is a rockier, dancier track. The B-sides are again quite different, 2 covers, first by American folk legend Tim Hardin, the other a weird acoustic cover of a Leonard Cohen track, with some quite dark lyrics.
