A bit of Spear for today from 1985! Could never quite understand or like the female backing singers on this raucous bit of Post Punk, produced by Rusty Egan. A huge slice of 80’s in the extended verion with Kurt struggling with the high notes, plenty of saxophone and huge drums. Is he being sarcastic about the love song genre on this? B-sides are also strong with the rockier, organ drenched “Last Card”, complete with another sax solo and “Walk In My Shadow” a bluesy cover of the Free song, which was engineered by a very young Flood. A little bit crispy on this vinyl but what!
