Marc Almond & Soft Cell – Pink Culture (Bootleg Vinyl Album)

softceeDon’t get too excited!

I don’t have any bootleg vinyl, did have some cheap bootleg tapes bought from the infamous student Poster and Cassette Markets but bootleg vinyl, nope!

So onto this rare thing from 1987 and pressed in Berlin by some loyal fans. The B-side really comprises of TV recordings (Mono, I guess) mostly from Channel 4’s The Tube. You could probably get the performances from YouTube.

However, as some memorabilia from the past it is a good insight into Soft Cell and the later incarnations of Mr Almond. Side A is worth a listen for the rare studio outtakes, “Loving You, Hating Me” and “Sleaze…” are ace but shame about the source recording.
