Killing Joke – Sanity (The Roman Mix) (12″)

killedforSome melodic Killing Joke now, for a Sunday morning! Remixed by Zeus B Held this soothing bit of electronic rock with some added piano reminding me of “Europe After The Rain” by John Foxx. Off their “Brighter Than a Thousand Suns” album, fans were split about the new direction as they went all Psychedelic Furs on them. Personally it’s one of my favourite albums by them. An under rated song, Geordie’s distinct guitar is here and even more up in the mix on B-side “Goodbye To The Village” (with polished production by Julien Mendelsohn) Another powerful track augmented by synth. Joke evolved into three very different, brilliant bands.  A great post punk band then a beautiful synth band and recently a brutal industrial band. This phase I could listen to all day.
