The Commentators – N-N-Nineteen Not Out (12″)

ImageA very young Rory Bremner provides the voices to this cricket theme spoof using Paul Hardcastle’s “Nineteen” as the backing track. Hardcastle actually produced it.

Considering the bruising England had in Australia recently quite topical. It was based on West Indies Test Series of 1984 where captain David Gower had a batting average of 19. Bremner imitates the the voices John Arlott (the voice that sounds like Zippy), Richie Benaud, Brian Johnston, Jim Laker and Fred Trueman with some witty one liners. More wit appears on the B-side mix which is quite similar to the A-side.
