Tears For Fears – Johnny Panic & The Bible Of Dreams (12″)

A low key release from 1991 and deliberately so. Helped by remixes by Fluke this became a massive white label  hit in clubland with its Ibiza, chilled groove but no one knew it was from Tears For Fears! Even on the commercial release the sleeve does not state it was a TFF release, but named after a Sylvia Plath poetry anthology. Reminiscent of the guitar groove of Peter Gabriel’s “Sledgehammer” it chills along nicely. I think Mix 2 is the rarer track, much more dancier.

  1. On the “Going to California” concert they use this as an intro/medley to Sowing the Seeds of Love if my memory is correct.
