Some classic British hip-hop now from 1989 and Merlin (a.k.a. Justin Boreland) who initially came to attention from the work he did with Bomb The Bass, S’Express and The Beatmasters. This 4 tracker showcases plenty of his styles. The straight up rap of “Bust Da Move” to the R and B tinged “Weekend Girl”. You get some Dance Hall ragga on “Drop the Weapon” and some quick rapping on “Drop The Pressure.” Another Bomb the Bass cohort, Aurra, provides backing vocals on the main track, which is also produced by Mark Saunders.
