Dollar – O L’Amour (12″)

Dollar the late 70’s/80’s duo comprising of David Van Day and Theresa Bazar covered this early Erasure track in 1987. You really can’t tell the difference in places, although I don’t think Miss Bazar’s breathy backing vocals match the song. It’s a synth pop version of a synth pop song with the 12″ mix by the Extra Beat Boys, who did a lot of work with PWL. B-side “B-Beat”, credited to the duo, is a surprising sample laden, instrumental electro track which was an unexpected discovery! Additionally you get one of their early hits (1978), “Who Were You With In The Moonlight” as an additional track , all smoochy, smoochy!
